I would think after 25 years of marriage The FisherMan would understand anything I said. Apparently not! This afternoon we took a stroll with the children over to the church. As we walked along we got to talking about the different views on annointing with oil. Don't ask me how!
Now here is what I said. "So they are saying that the oil is nothing but doctoring."
Here is what he heard. "So they are saying that the oil is nothing but doctrine."
So began a series of misunderstanding similar to the whole "who's on first" fiasco!
"No they don't think it is sound doctrine!"
"Doctrine? No, no doctoring!"
"Doctrine?"
" OH, doc-ter-ing! Ing! Ing!"
Oh, well at least I keep things interesting for him! :)
I wish I could here you speak!! I absolutely love the southern accent! It's funny, my grandma who was a big part of my life, was from Texas, and even though I was raised in California, every once ina great while you'll here my twang coming out! lol Got it all from my Grandma!
ReplyDeleteMichelle,
ReplyDeleteAnother bloggy friend said the same thing the other day about wondering how I sound and hoped I might post a video. I haven't figured out how to do that yet though.
My father-in-law retired from the military and they lived all over so it was funny sometimes to hear it come out in my mother-in-law's speech. She's the only person I've known who was Southern with flavorings of England, Puerto Rico, Texas and Louisiana thrown in. My husband still does the same thing with certain words!
hahaha i can just imagine you guys's conversation! ya'll crack me up.
ReplyDeleteAngela,
