A New Recipe to Try

Do you like the soup, salad and breadsticks at Olive Garden? Soooo good! I love the latest one Chicken Gnocchi (sp?) It isn't for those who are dieting or at least those sticking to a diet (wink) but it is delicious. So I was hoping to find a good recipe for it that I could tweak to be healthier, fewer calories and cheaper. I didn't find one but I did find one similar to the Pasta E Fagioli. That is the one that is sort of like chili. I haven't tried it yet so I don't know if it will be good but I thought I would share it here. I'm going to try it next week. With so much icy weather out there maybe some of you would like to give it a try too!

1 1/2 t oil
1 lb ground beef
6 oz chopped onion
7 oz slivered carrots
7 oz diced celery
24 oz can diced tomatoes
1 cup red kidney beans
1 cup white beans
44 oz beef broth
1 1/2 t oregano
1 1/4 t pepper
2 1/2 t fresh chopped parsley
3/4 t hot sauce
24 oz spaghetti sauce
4 oz shells pasta
