It was a beautiful spring day here yesterday with just enough breeze to consider it windy. The children finished their schooling, albeit with a small amount of complaining, and hit the outdoors with gusto. Their daddy came home from work and started on some prep work in the garden so I came in and did a bit of straightening up before joining them outside. It's good to train your children to help out but there are those times when they just need the chance to run! On those days I so appreciate my husband gladly keeping an eye on them outside. We don't allow them out without us. They just aren't quite old enough and with no fence, well...Mama can think of all sorts of mishaps! When they got out of the shower last night I had supper ready. Much of it came from the freezer. We are cleaning out what little bit is left from last year's bounty. We had fresh peas, fried okra, corn on the cob, cornbread, and potato salad.
